The Musicians Union of Liberia (MULIB) has secured a new headquarters, bringing an end to years without a permanent office space. The achievement comes through the efforts of Liberia’s internationally recognized disc jockey and Representative of District #17 in Montserrado County, DJ Blue.

Representative Blue, who earned widespread recognition for his remarkable contributions to Liberia’s entertainment industry prior to entering politics, facilitated the acquisition as part of his ongoing commitment to strengthening the country’s creative sector.

Before his transition into public service, DJ Blue built a reputation as one of Liberia’s most celebrated disc jockeys, gaining both national and international acclaim for his exceptional artistry and influence in the music scene.

Since joining the House of Representatives, he has remained a strong advocate for the promotion of tourism and the development of the creative industries. Despite his legislative responsibilities, the lawmaker continues to champion initiatives aimed at empowering artists and fostering cultural growth.

Among his notable legislative contributions is the introduction of a bill that led to the establishment of the Liberia Tourism Authority (LTA). The legislation was subsequently passed into law, and the Authority is now fully operational, working to promote Liberia as a competitive tourism destination.

The acquisition of a permanent headquarters for MULIB is widely regarded as a major milestone for Liberia’s music community. The facility will provide a centralized space for coordination, advocacy, and the advancement of musicians across the country.
